Can you give me an example of a frequency that results in a crash?

I tried 115.100 and I think 109.200

It only crashes when the iPad is connected to the radio.  If I am just in simulate at home, it does not crash.

Hello Tim,

I did ask for a Vnav protocol. Then the autopilot can also fly to requested height.
Is that possible?

With kind regards and keep up the good work

Think I've spotted a bug in the AR6201 interface.  Some airports around here have ATIS on NAV frequencies, not COM.  If I send that frequency to the radio without realising it was not a valid COM frequency, Skydemon crashes and I have to restart it.   No error messages, just goes back to the iPad desktop.  Reopen Skydemon and everything working again from the point it dropped out.
Looks like a check is needed to only send valid frequencies to the radio?

Hi ulli It is super simple pins 1,2,and 9 for the av-30 And that’s it select autopilot and all on the SD it does 9600 bad automatically You can test by using the simulator function on SDBrilliant system !!!!!

Hi Final Glide,
we have an installation with one iPad (running SD), one AV-30 and one KRT2. We just bought a BT dongle to send frequencies to the KRT2. Did you manage to use the same dongle to simultaneously transfer Nav data from SD to the AV-30?
That would be really amazing. Or do you need a second BT Adapter for the AV30???
Thank you in advance,
Stephan

The data streams must be isolated. The data from the autopilot must not reach the KRT2, otherwise the radio will misinterpret it and no longer function correctly.
So either 2 separate adapters, or separate the data streams using a microcontroller and output them to 2 different ports. I think the solution with 2 BLE adapters is simpler, cleaner and cheaper.

Dear Final Glide and dear Michael,
thank you for your quick response.

@Michael: The experience with the KRT 2 SD-Link (quality, installation effort, documentation and also pricing) was so great, that I would definitely also buy your AV-30 Adapter as soon as it is available. Do you think it might be possible to use it on top of the AV-Link Wifi-Adapter, which receives our GDL90 Traffic Data Stream? I think AV Link uses a different Pin to transfer the traffic data to the AV-30!?
I did not expect, the all this might be available :-)
Happy Easter,
Stephan

The software on the standalone version of my BT module supports routing certain message formats to each serial port, so in theory you could connect a Funke radio and an AV30 to just the one BT module. I’ve not got any equipment to test this though (my aircraft has a G3X and one Trig radio) so I can’t sell it without a full shakedown and test.

My homebrew version is working fine on the Becker AR6201, thanks to the technical info posted earlier on the thread by Michael, so thanks for that👍

For anyone planning to feed a KRT2 radio and an autopilot/AV-30 through the same BLE adapter, it won't work.
Why? The data for the autopilot interferes with the KRT2 because it misinterprets it. The autopilot works, but the KRT2 radio no longer works reliably. The only solution I see for this problem is two separate BLE adapters.

It doesn't matter whether you do this with a BLE V4 or V5 adapter.
Believe me, we learned the hard way.

Life is a barrel of fun, but sometimes a barrel full of "Sauerkraut".
